The
EXP and 15 EXP subwoofer based home theater loudspeaker systems

We wanted
to build the most outstanding compact home theater loudspeaker
systems. Considering our high-end roots, we resisted the me-too
urge to throw a bunch of speakers together and call it a premier
home theater system. Our high-end roots also dictated that our
home theater loudspeaker system must also be an outstanding music
system.
After careful reflection, we decided to build a home theater
system based on versions of our tried and true: new versions
of our highly acclaimed Model 5 and Model 7 loudspeaker and our
Model EXP and 15EXP subwoofers.
Through extensive research
we have developed the best Model 5 ever. In the new Model 5,
we use of a horn loaded soft dome neodymium tweeter and a shallow
throat carbon fiber woofer and perfectly align their acoustic
centers. The result is a loudspeaker that not only improves on
the imaging and musicality of the previous Model 5 but one that
is more time coherent than most slanted baffle loudspeaker. Because
time coherence is achieved without a slanted baffle, which often
causes sound to refract off of the portion of the baffle that
is ahead of the drivers, the Model 5 has an "openness"
that is rarely found at its price point. The close alignment
of the tweeter and woofer also makes the new Model 5 a true point
source over part of its operating range.
We did not stop there. We applied the same technology to the
Model 7C. The combination of the Model 5 and Model 7C produces
home theater with awesome laser-like imaging and soundstaging.
Combining the Model 5 and Model 7 with our recently improved
EXP and 15EXP subwoofers produce home theater experiences that
are hard to beat at any price.

coherent Model 7C speaker as center channel, then add our superb
